City Band Productions would like to announce that their short film “Simple Twist of Fate” has been chosen to be in the Best of San Diego screening lineup for the 2015 San Diego 48 Hour Film Project! The team could not be more thrilled about this recognition, feeling privileged to screen with the other films chosen as ‘Best Of San Diego.’

Simple Twist of Fate – written for the screen and directed by Ramon Vasquez Jr., starring Seth Marshall , Laurence Brown, Jennifer Scibetta, Teresa Suarez Grosso, Taylor Koster and Andrew Dean Pearson – will screen at the Best of San Diego Awards Screening and Gala on Saturday, August 22nd at 6:00PM in Downtown San Diego at the Reading Cinemas Gaslamp 15. Tickets for the screening can be purchased here:

By reaching the Best Of San Diego two (2) years running, CBP is aiming for new frontiers as well as reaching goals, by steadily improving on their filmmaking every year. This could only be due to the hard work and dedication of all cast and crew. Worthy of note: a few achievements along the way – on the night of their first screening, they were awarded a ‘Spirit Award’ (Best Marketing) for their work in creating a poster with Augmented Reality. With this announcement we can also point to their first Best of San Diego Nomination with Best Editing for Melvin Cannon and Ramon Vasquez Jr.

These achievements are beyond exciting, they are humbling. It goes without saying that this is a team effort by a group of dedicated folks who each year donate their time and sleep to make these productions happen. Once again, congrats to the entire team as well as all the other teams in this competition. The team would like to thank the endless support from family and friends.
Buy your tickets and see you at the show!
